On Thursday 24th October, as part of our Arts week, we all swapped classes and did loads of really exciting things !!!

Images Theatre Company - 23 October 2008

On Wednesday 22nd October, as part of our Creative Arts week, Images theatre company came in for a performance of 'The Jungle Book'. Some of the children in Year 2,3 and 4 got to perform in the play.

Website of the month for October - 05 October 2008

This is an amazingly simple but great game. You have to think  very quickly to put together letters in order to make words. You need to do two or three times to get the hang of it and it certainly makes you think quickly. It's great for thinking about spelling patterns.

Our new playground equipment - 19 September 2008

Our playground equipment is nearly all ready for our grand opening next Monday. We have had three fantastic bits of equipment arrive this week. We have a fantastic wooden climbing frame, an outdoor classroom with games built into the corners and traversing walls so we can practice being mountain climbers.

This is an excellent website with tips to help you and your children to become better writers. It has the option to write a story online and even to get it published on the website.

Thursday afternoons in Key Stage 2 - 18 September 2008

Thursday afternoons are really exciting in Key Stage 2. We do French, learn the recorder and have RE with Mrs Yearsley.

Leavers' Assembly - 23 July 2008

On Wednesday 16th July we held a special assembly for our Year 4s who left us at the end of the week. It was also a very special assembly for Mrs Brewer who left us after 21 years at the school. It was a lovely occasion and we will miss Mrs Brewer and the Year 4s very much !!!

Playground Week 3 - 10 July 2008

We are nearly there. Most of the hard work is done and it's ready for the equipment to go on over the summer holidays.

Playground Week 2 - 10 July 2008

Our playground looks completely different now. The hole is no longer there and we  can start to see how fantastic it is going to look when it is finished.

Woolworths' playground scheme - 10 July 2008

We are hoping to acquire up to £10,000 extra money to make our  playground even better once the builders have finished. Click here to watch the great video we made as part of our project.

Year 4 trip to Wilberforce Road - 24 June 2008

On Tuesday 17th June all the Year 4s went to a Sports Festival at Wilberforce Road in Cambridge. We had a fantastic time and got to try loads of different sporting events.

Playground Development Day - 02 June 2008

On Friday 23rd May the whole school took part in a playground development day. We all had the most fantastic time. We are hoping that the work we did will help us get additional funding through Woolworth's ' Playground for Kids' scheme.

Our Victorian Day - 23 May 2008

Key Stage 1 went back in time to hold a Victorian school day. The children and staff looked fantastic. Check on Miss Woodhouse, Miss Palmer and Miss Goodwille's class pages for more details. 

Come and see our 'tropical trees' animation - 08 May 2008

We spent three day making this animation with Hedley Griffin. We are very proud of it. Not only did we do the pictures we also helped to do the animation, the voice overs and the music.

Website of the month for May - 29 April 2008

This is a website that Key Stage 1 children may find helpful when starting their school projects. It has information about school life in Victorian times and the text is not too difficult to understand.
