We had a stunning start to our second half term of 'I do like to be beside the seaside' when a pirate turned up in our classroom! He explained that his name was Captain Stink Beard. It turned out that he was a bit forgetful and had lost his boat, crew and most importantly his treasure! He asked if we could help him find his treasure.
We worked in groups with the children from Wren class to complete six different challenges. After completing each challenge, we got a word that formed part of a clue telling us where the treasure was. In the end the clue said "Go and look in the hall."
Captain Stink Beard might have been a forgetful pirate but he was also a very kind pirate, as he shared out his chocolate coins to say thank you for helping him!
